Job Summary
|
The Tai Tanzania Ambassadors Program is a 6 months program which provides 10 university students in Tanzania with a unique opportunity to take an active role in creating sustainable development in Tanzania. Through this program, youth will gain leadership skills, community service experience, and social impact experience. The program will ultimately create a community of like-minded individuals who are passionate about creating a better future for Tanzania. Your role as a volunteer is to promote and advocate for Tai Tanzania’s educational content among university students in Tanzania. You will be the face of the organisation within your university community and have the opportunity to build new skills through the activities you will participate in.

The duties and responsibilities of a Tai Ambassador
Every month you are required to:
- Organise an activity to share Tai content and have fruitful discussions with at least 40 university students
- Share a report of the activities conducted
- Attend a Tai event to participate as an attendee and or volunteer
- Participate in Tai online campaigns
Every week you are required to:
- Share at least 2 original posts about Tai on at least 3 social media platforms
Every two weeks you are required to:
- Attend a Tai workshop to help you build new skills
Knowledge Skills and Abilities

- Ability to write articles and reports
Qualifications for a Tai Ambassador
- Be a first- or second-year university student
- Be a formal or informal leader in your current community
- Have a passion for storytelling
- Have a passion to help your community
- Familiar with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint and capable of creating visually compelling presentations
- Proficient public speaking abilities are an asset
- Be a fun individual ready to work in a fast-paced environment

- To actively participate in organizational activities as may be directed by the Ambassador’s Coordinator
- To participate in all activities related to the Tai Ambassador’s program

Actively promote PSEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) standards within Tai Tanzania and beneficiaries.

Job summary
|
This position will be working closely and reporting to the Financial Manager, and you will be responsible for assisting in managing financial operations with a focus on budget tracking, expenditure monitoring, reporting and cash flow management.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
The accountant will be responsible for managing financial operations with a focus on budget tracking, expenditure monitoring, reporting and cash flow management
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Record the transactions related to Tai’s projects in Specific Project cash books (Excel) for easy monitoring of donor funds
- Prepare payments according to funds availability and authorization from Department Managers and Finance Manager
- Follow up on liquidation of funds and ensure all retirements are done on time
- Petty Cash Management
- Financial reporting & analysis tasks
- Assist in the Preparation of donor’s financial reports for each project according to grants’ requirements
- Assist in the preparation of monthly expenditure reports
- Preparing Fixed Asset register and following up on the condition of Assets with support from Admin
- Other tasks assigned by supervisors
Compliance
- Help as required during the auditing process
- Follow up on statutory compliance including physical visits to TRA, NSSF and WCF when required.
- Provide insights when reviewing and updating Tai Tanzania’s financial management policies and procedures annually Assist in drafting missing financial policies and procedures
- Follow up on any new financial regulatory requirements and their impact on Tai Tanzania’s financial operations
Any other additional task that may be assigned by reporting Manage:
- Monitoring and Evaluation
- Develop data story collection tools
- Conduct baseline survey
- Monitoring of project activities and reporting
- Writing Impact report
- Make frequent visits to field sites to provide training or conduct supervision of activities.
- Develop feedback survey forms

QUALIFICATIONS
- University degree in finance or a related discipline
- Good organizational and computer skills (Word, Excel required).
- Fluent in writing and speaking English and Swahili
- Good communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
